SITUATION: The land is located on the immediate eastern outskirts of the built up extent of the hamlet of Cackle Street, midway between the villages of Broad Oak and Brede in East Sussex.  The seaside town of Rye is some 7 miles to the east with Battle 8 miles to the west and Tunbridge Wells 24 miles to the north west.

DIRECTIONS:  From the Broad Oak/Brede crossroads at the intersection of the A28 and the B2089, head south on the A28 towards Brede.  At the hamlet of Cackle Street, look out for the Village Hall on your left hand side and the entrance to the land will be seen after a very short distance between the houses on the left hand side.

DESCRIPTION:   The land is approached through a recessed gate into an open area of land extending to about 1.33 acres.  This borders the rear gardens of a number of houses that front on to Cackle Street.  A further gated entrance leads into a circular trackway which runs through a block of undulating mixed broadleaf woodland with a number of mature trees over a coppiced understorey.  The area has been extensively fenced as free range pigs have been kept on the ground in the past although not in recent years.  The trackway loops around the woodland and connects through to an open area of banky pasture extending to about 1.09 acres from which there are wonderful views to the east across the Sussex countryside.
