L&F team take part in Whitstable 10k
Congratulations to all our runners who took part in the Whitstable 10k. Well done everyone!
15 staff members and friends and family made it to the start of the annual Whitstable 10k race on a windy Bank Holiday Monday on Whitstable sea front. Easily identifiable by their custom team shirts, all departments of the firm were represented with Will Mathias, Rosine Hampson and James Little flying the flag for Mayfield, Alec and Katie Cox representing Cranbrook and Wendy Morris, Carl Blackford, Gary Mickelborough, Jon Booth, Ben Brandreth, Katie Hurley and Alan, Lucy, Alice and Daisy Mummery representing the Paddock Wood Office.

All 15 runners made it safely to the finish and there were some great individual performances. Leading the men home was Jon Booth who finished 115th out of the 750 entrants in 47 minutes and 37 seconds, closely followed by Gary Mickelborough (151st) in 49.40 minutes. Special mention also for Alec Cox (50.20) and Carl Blackford (53.19) who were much improved on last year, Carl knocking an amazing 6 minutes off his time!.
In the ladies race, Daisy Mummery finished 11th out of the 750 entrants overall in 46 minutes and 35 seconds with Mum Lucy following in 50 minutes and 58 seconds and sister Alice coming home in 54 minutes and 49 seconds.
Special mention to our official cheerleaders Liz and Malcolm Bryant, Claire and Sophie Little and Ted Handley who braved the sea breezes and did a sterling job capturing the official race finish photographs which show many varying faces in pain!
It was a fantastic effort by all concerned and we are now seeking out the next team challenge!
