As part of its 125th anniversary celebrations, Lambert & Foster was proud to support the Weald of Kent Steam and Country Show’s grand reunion of Lambert and Horsmonden steam engines, marking 70 years since Christopher Lambert’s passing and the famous Lambert Steam Auction.

One of the standout moments saw Lambert & Foster Director and Auctioneer, Alan Mummery, recreate history with a lively mock auction from the back of a traction engine, just as it would have been done in 1955. The spectacle delighted crowds as several of the original engines came together for the first time since the famous sale, lovingly restored and in full steam.
