Rural England Prosperity Fund (REPF) Grants
Wealden and Rother District Councils

We have previously reported on the allocation of funding from Central Government to Local Government for grants to support rural businesses. Wealden and Rother District Councils have now opened their grant scheme and are inviting applications for projects from rural businesses that will create jobs, increase productivity and adopt new technology.
Projects might include:
- purchase of equipment and machinery.
- adaptation of premises.
- creation or expansion of rural leisure and tourism businesses.
- farm diversification outside of agriculture.
Match-funded grants of between £2,500 and £50,000 will be available. Both Councils state they are ‘keen to see non-agricultural applications’ i.e. a grant to support diversified enterprises that are not linked to the farming enterprise.
