Rural Surveyor
Lambert & Foster are looking for a qualified Rural Surveyor to meet the growing needs of the business to assist in the expansion of its rural service provision in Kent and East Sussex.
This vacancy would be suited to someone looking for the next step up in their career or for someone who is already comfortable in managing their own clients but still able to adapt and offer suggestions for change in a progressive company. Either way, the applicant should be able to develop business leads and the reputation of the team they are to be a part of; as well as the wider estate management, planning, architectural, farm, commercial and estate agency teams.

Applicants should hold an RICS qualification or FAAV qualification, or preferably both. Being a RICS Registered Valuer is preferred but not essential and training will be provided for any candidate that is looking to secure further professional qualifications. Please note that applications may be considered for a graduate position (where the business will support RICS and or CAAV training) if candidates are able to demonstrate existing industry experience or suitability.

Location of role: Paddock Wood in Kent with the opportunity to work from Wadhurst, East Sussex and Hythe in Kent.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Routine contact with and advice to a range of different clients.
- A Chartered RICS Member and ideally a Registered Valuer with at least 2 years post qualification experience.
- Experience of a range of rural professional work, with specialisms in any area catered for including:
- Valuation work for rural property including farms, estates, residential portfolios and other mixed use property assets
- Providing professional advice in relation to landlord and tenant law
- Compensation claims and dealing with compulsory purchase matters
- Negotiating land occupation arrangements, including for renewable projects
- Advising on government funding opportunities, including CSS, SFI and Capital Grants
- To work with Bloomfields Chartered Town Planners in identifying planning and development opportunities. Where necessary, advising on matters of land ownership, tenancy arrangements and land use.
- Ability to work in an organised and methodical fashion and to meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- To develop and promote the wider business and its services
- To have good IT skills and to be a proficient user of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- To develop and use our time recording system on a daily basis (training to be provided).
- A full driving licence and own car.
